Andrew Burrow
Andrew is an Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Carson-Newman University, where he teaches courses on the New Testament and Greek. He accepted Christ as his savior at age 8 and felt a call to ministry at age 16. God’s call became clear at age 20, and Andrew began his journey to become the professor that he is today. Known for his pastoral heart, including passing out hand-written encouragement notes to all of his students on the first day of class and opening classes with prayer, he guides students’ hearts in addition to their minds. Andrew is passionate about helping this generation of students understand Scripture and experience God’s transformative love. He has taught students for sixteen years, with eleven years serving grades 7–12 in private and public education. His relationship with FUGE Camps is deep, attending multiple times as a student, as a church leader, and then two years as a staffer. He also holds leadership positions at his university and in his church, and he publishes regularly. Andrew has been married to Holly for 16 wonderful years, and they have one daughter. He enjoys reading, running, and playing classic video games, but his greatest joy is spending time with his family.
