MBU has grown into a full university over the last fifty years and has expanded with a number of new and renovated facilities. MBU Resident Halls promote community and relationships through common areas where students can enjoy ping pong, foosball, and pool. MBU offers great meeting facilities, including ThePerk Coffeehouse. Scooter Kellum
Scooter Kellum has a passion for engaging the next generation to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana’s (SCBI) Team Leader for Church and Leader Mobilization and has previously served as Alabama State Board of Missions Youth Ministry Strategist. He has worked with youth and college students all over the U.S. by serving in churches, speaking at summer camps, and leading the next generation ministries here at SCBI.
Scooter graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009 and received a Master of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) in 2015 and is currently working towards his Doctorate of Education at NOBTS. He and his wife, Chelsea, are originally from Mississippi and have four beautiful children: Tripp, Will, Abi-Lyn and Larkin. They have also been foster parents since 2018. He is a dedicated father and husband. Scooter looks for any occasion to celebrate and strives to enjoy life to the fullest.
